Hands-Free Driving

Indiana's hands-free driving law, effective July 1, 2020, bans holding phones or electronic devices while driving, allowing only hands-free use (Bluetooth, headsets, mounts) for calls or navigation, with the sole exception being 911 calls; violations lead to fines, points on your license, and potential suspension, all aimed at reducing distracted driving.
